Midway through the country the “Dunkin Donuts” start to wane and my breakfasts seem to get less appealing. Dinner is even worse. You’re tired, cold, trying to find a place to stay and just drove 800 miles from your previous overnight adventure. Like any other good American, I became well acquainted with the dollar menus and Subway. Here’s the problem: I don’t like fast food and I don’t like cold cuts. What’s a to do?

Sleigh Ride: According to ASCAP, this light orchestral piece nearly always ranks among the top 10 songs most performed during the Christmas season worldwide. “Sleigh Ride” is often found on holiday or Christmas compilation records which is interesting because the song never specifically mentions Christmas or any other holiday for that matter. But who really cares about that? It is a catchy tune that compels you to go outside and make snow angels.
It was his attraction to a teenage singer who Sam felt was a white singer who understood gospel and blues, and who had a raw energy to his music. The singer, Elvis Aaron Presley, recorded “That’s Alright Mama!” in 1954. Phillips would be a big influence on the singer’s music, deciding early on that the youth didn’t need a group behind him, just him and his guitar. Sam sold Presley’s contract to RCA in 1956, in order to raise money for the studio. Although production of Elvis’ records at RCA is credited to Steve Sholes, it was widely known that Presley had the major hand in it, thanks to the mentoring of Phillips while at Sun Records.
The restaurant was more of a bar / lounge than a restaurant. The food was absolutely horrible: bland, rubbery, and extraordinarily expensive. The fish and chips, which i really wanted to try while in England, wasn’t even good. On our first night, a steak sandwich, cheeseburger, french fries and two sodas cost us 45 pound. That’s over USD! We ate there once, and learned our lesson.
